Fitness Classes

Our group fitness classes offer a friendly atmosphere with a personalized approach to exercise. Classes are taught by certified instructors who excel in motivating and educating class members.  We offer many multi-level classes that will challenge the “fit” member and encourage the “novice” exerciser. Along with variety, we offer a positive and motivating group fitness class atmosphere.

New To Fitness Classes?

Let us help you achieve your goals together! in your process. Our instructors want you to succeed, so please let us know if you are new. We'll show you how easy it is to get in the habit of fitness and help you find the right class for you.

All classes are 55 minutes unless otherwise noted on the schedule. 


B3 Studio Classes

These classes represent themes of mindfulness and empowerment in the Mind/Body connection and three focus points that are:

Believe ... "She Believed She could .... So She Did."
Begin ... "Just where you are is the place to begin."  
Become ... "Leave who you were... Love who you are... Look forward to who you will Become."

B3 are held in the Barre studio to the left at the back of the fitness room.

B3 Barre

An intensive body – shaping fitness method founded on the technique of dance, the mind body aspect of yoga and the precision and core integration of Pilates. Barre produces lengthening and chiseling results fast using small isolated holds with tiny movements and tremendous mental connection. Great for both beginners and veterans to the barre. We promise you will be challenged and calmly energized after this total body workout. Come shake with us! B3 Barre classes are taught by certified BarreAmped and Pow{h}er Method instructors.

B3 Pilates

Pilates is a method of exercise and physical movement designed to stretch, strengthen, and balance the body with an emphasis on strengthening the mid-section. Mat-based classes are taught using floor mats and using a small amount of equipment. PILATES is similar to yoga but emphasizes your body’s core — the abdomen, oblique’s, lower back. Suitable for all fitness levels.  

B3 Barre / Tap n' Pow(h)er

Our Pow{h}er Method classes are designed to shape, tone, and elongate your muscles, while delivering messages of empowerment. These classes are extremely form focused and combine rotational, linear, isometric, range of motion with compound movement. The structure of the Pow{h}er Method takes a thoughtful approach at building deep muscle strength, tone, flexibility, balance and alignment to women’s bodies. All fitness levels welcome.   

B3 Body N Pow(h)er

This AWESOME workout challenges all of your major muscle groups by using weighted exercises such as squats, presses, lifts and curls focusing on high repetition movements with low weight loads.

B3 U-Jam Dance Cardio

An addictive athletic dance cardio workout that unites world beats with urban flavor. The music will take you around the world from old school hip hop to Bollywood with an intense cardio workout that makes you sweat, tones your body, and leaves you begging for more.

B3 Yoga Flow

A powerful, energetic form of YOGA where students fluidly move from one pose to the next while connecting their breathing to their movements, creating internal heat to lengthen and strengthen the muscles of the body. This fun yoga flow experience deepens your mind/body connection through a challenging physical practice and deep mindful breathing. You will feel a calm presence of mind that can be utilized on the off the mat. - A powerful, energetic form of YOGA where students fluidly move from one pose to the next while connecting their breathing to their movements, creating internal heat to lengthen and strengthen the muscles of the body. This fun yoga flow experience deepens your mind/body connection through a challenging physical practice and deep mindful breathing. B3 Zumba Dance Cardio

Latin inspired dance class that is an exhilarating, effective, easy-to-follow, cardio dance fitness party. Join our instructors as they put their own spin on dance fitness.


The Jungle Classes

With the goals of helping you to overcome obstacles, finding strength you didn't know you had, and building your core muscles to stand strong in the midst of adversity these high-intensity classes will get you active in no time!

Jungle classes are in the HIIT studio to the left of the Barre studio. 

Teen Equipment Orientation

 All teens (ages 13-16) are required to complete an equipment orientation in the Muletown Rec Fitness Room. Each class will be every 2 weeks, Saturday at 11am his class is free to members and day pass holders.

Intro 2 Fitness

We want to show you just how fun and enjoyable fitness can be. As a part of our mission to educate members and create a healthy & fit community, we now offer an Intro 2 Fitness Class the 1st and 3rd Saturday of the month.  Taught by our very own, Thalas Steele, he will provide instruction on how to properly perform some of the basic functions when it comes to kettle bells, free weights and body weight exercises.

Bootcamp

If this boot-camp circuit doesn't whip you into shape, nothing will. Not only does it burn up to 600 calories in just 45 minutes, it also targets those muscles you didn't know you have!  It alternates between strength sets and cardio intervals. Mixing it up between cardio and strength training is essential for weight loss because you need the fat burning cardio paired with the muscle building training to get the results you want.

Kettle HELL

Burn calories and fat with this high intensity cardio and strength training intervals using ropes, slam balls, and of course kettle bells! This is functional training for overall body mobility. Amped up Coach's style! Crying and sweating is allowed!. Feel the burn!

Fundamental Strength

Our Fundamental Strength class will give you the biggest bang for your buck and you will develop overall strength, flexibility, and body control, while going back to the basics of body mechanics.

HIIT Express

This 30 minute High Intensity Interval Training is a quick explosive way to burn fat. HIIT is also known as conventional form cardio vascular exercise with a better and more efficient outcome for every workout lover or bodybuilder. 

Spin & More

This 45minute class will use a specialized stationary bike while you spin your way through hill climbs, sprints and other heart racing challenges. Standard class is 45 minutes in length and Spin Express will be 30 minutes in length.

Senior Spin Class

Starting Monday September 11th

Don’t be fooled by images of indoor spin classes showing only young people pedaling furiously and sweating profusely. Senior Spin Class at Muletown Rec is designed as a low impact group fitness class for all ages. Not only are these classes fun for all you can benefit greatly from the heart rate training and low impact activity that Spinning provides. As with any Spin class, no matter what the instructor is encouraging you to do, you can always follow your own instincts and stick with what’s comfortable for you.

Although we do not have a rule or definition of what constitutes the age of a senior, it can generally be agreed upon to be somewhere around 55 years young and above.

Staffed Mon-Thurs 8am-8pm, Fri – 8am-6pm, Saturday – 8:00am - 5pm, Sunday 1:00-5:00pm
Members have 24/7 access to the fitness center via door code.
